San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- About six young people are currently working lands received in usufruct from Decree 300. According to this decree, producers must be associated with different forms of production. In this case, there are 3 linked to agricultural production cooperative "Antero Regalado", two associated with the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production "Victoria de Girón" mainly dedicated to livestock. The last young man who joined these functions is Yasmany Rodriguez Musibay. He belongs to the UBPC ‘’9 de Abril’’ and now has 1.76 hectares for growing strawberries.
San Antonio de los Baños has 121 applications approved and new requests are received. Marta Gonzalez, Register of the Department of Agriculture stated: ''Agricultural Enterprise and Tobacco Enterprise ‘’Lazaro Peña’’ have no land to declare and all are already covered. There is only a fund of vacant land which belongs to the UBPC ‘’9 de Abril’’, intended for fruit trees and livestock''.
