Urban AgricultureAntonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- Workers, linked to the intensive garden belonging to the Agricultural Production Cooperative (CPA) ‘’Augusto César Sandino’’ of this municipality, give attention to crops as part of the plans of this locality, about the journey of the National Group of Urban, Suburban and Family Agriculture.
Workers become involved in many works: planting, attention to the garden and crops collection, so they work hard as states Jesus Diaz Ramirez, Administrator of the intensive garden. He adds that worm-culture and agroecological techniques are applied to prevent pests and diseases, as part of the ecological agriculture .
Ramirez Díaz says that work is intense for the achievement of fresh vegetables. He also says that fresh herbs, fruits and medicinal and ornamental plants are some offers, as part of the 28 subprograms linked to the movement of urban, suburban and family agriculture in the effort to ratify the triple excellence crown.
