Cuban family and education

Education and FamilyEducation and Family The start of the school year mobilizes family and cuban society. It is an event that fills with enthusiasm, joy, expectations, dreams and the desire to achieve life projects.

From ‘’El Manifesto del Moncada’’, education was part of the projections for the society that the revolutionary movement dreamed. The literacy campaign reached every corner. With pencils and notebooks, the light of knowledge went from plains to mountains and displaced ignorance and exclusion. Peasants and workers regained their value.

In Cuba, education is a social and cultural event. The State guarantees resources, human potential and possibilities for the acquisition of knowledge and skills in various branches, under the precept of inclusion and the right for everyone, regardless of race, age, sex, creed or social opposition. Through education, individuals accompany the society in different development programs, ensuring first of all literacy. Cuban family enjoys the benefits of education: children, youth, adults and even seniors, because education in Cuba is an important event.
