There are always impressive testimonies of workers radio. They tell anecdotes or insist that this is a school. It is surprising that the mayority of the most distinguished announcers openly express that radio is their favorite medium, even when television gives a greater popularity to them.
Cuban radio celebrates 94 years of the first transmissions from Havana. Ariguanabo Radio is a prestigious signal that has interconnected with many families in San Antonio de los Baños. Those early empirical transmissions are now the voice of a whole people, as part of the main popular and national events, entertaining and forming generations. Assuming each task with seriousness and responsibility.
Many radio workers have been awarded for their career. Jorge Luis Lazo Martínez, Director of Ariguanabo Radio, was given the Radio Microphone, the highest category of the Cuban radio. While, Vicky Estrada (program advisor) and Frank Acosta (annoucer and journalist), deserved the Ninety Anniversary Seal, this time dedicated to the birthday of the Cuban Revolution’s leader, Fidel Castro.
The radio work is difficult and requires a lot of commitment and love. Ariguanabo Radio "Voice of where there is a river" is and will also be the voice of the world humor, because this signal communicates everything about the different editions of the International Biennial of Graphic Humor and the Humor Museum. In addition, its continued work with the International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños.

Radio Ariguanabo celebrates the 94th anniversary of the cuban radio and prepares for its 45th anniversary next October 8th, under the principles of the radio in our country.
