Agricultural WorkersSan Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- Integrated to the different productive ways in this municipality, agricultural workers participate in social activities in the community. The ariguanabense territory has 10 productive ways, which supply the Maternal Home with grains, vegetables, etc. Thereby, they strengthen diets, states Ketsey Ortega, member of the National Association of Small Farmers ANAP.
Ketsey says that agricultural workers participate in activities to promote rural traditions and involve the community in domino and fishing championships. She adds that annually, in the Cucalambeana Day they encourage the participation of young women, protagonists of the social development. Within the event program they promote the preparation of traditional dishes.
The participation of agricultural workers in social activities is relevant. They are integrated to the opening of History Rooms and to cultural and children's activities. They also bring their productions to the capital markets.
