San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- The tobacco union in this town carries out different activities in each of its productive entities to celebrate Fidel Castro’s birthday.
Throughout the month special mornings are made to highlight the Cuban Revolution’s leader and the impact of economic thought related to the importance of efficiency in harvesting the aromatic leaf, so states Manuel Cruz Naranjo, who is in charge of the tobacco sector in the province.
He adds that they gave the flag of National Vanguard to the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production (BUCP) ‘’Felipe Herrera’’ of Alquízar and ‘’Batalla de las Guásimas’’. This productive entity also received the medal Jesús Menéndez. He states that recognition enhances the action of the labor movement. The Provincial Secretary insists that ‘’Lazaro Peña’’ Enterprise has planned the celebration of the commander’s birthday through workers’ initiatives, on August 12th.
