San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- In order to update the Cuban economic model and to implement the Guidelines, the National Association of Economists and Accountants (NAEA) of the town, is undergoing a review process of their strategies and tasks.
The organization works for economic efficiency, which requires strengthening the role of the association at all levels, evaluates its structure and functioning and encourage working relationships with the media in order to know how much economists and accountants make. The tasks will also be aimed at training the membership, leaders, enterprise and budget specialists and strengthening economic education of the population and workers, including self-employed and cooperative workers.
New planning approaches, investment evaluation, projects with foreign capital, payment systems, internal control, improvement of the bank system and the development of non-state management forms appear in the agenda of the organization. NAEA also teaches courses in the territory to those who manage non-agricultural cooperatives with the aim of training them with the necessary theoretical knowledge. The training covers labor, legal, tax and contracting elements.
