CDRSan Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- Members of the Revolution Defense Committees (CDR) in this territory meet the program of activities with regard to the 56th anniversary of its creation. For this, it is a priority the fulfillment of the blood donations plan in every area through coordinated actions with various organizations, including the Young Communists Union (UJC) and the Cuban Women Federation (FMC).
The municipal Direction of CDR works with population from 18 years to 65 to motivate this human act of saving lives, so accurates María Teresa Prieto Ortiz, Municipal Coordinator of the organization.
She adds that they interact with students of the Municipal University Center as well as the Subsidiary of Medical Sciences to incorporate volunteer donors. The Coordinator stands out the support of young people selected ‘’55th Anniversary’’ who strengthen the work in neighborhoods.
She insists that the municipal coordinator together with the local blood bank promote blood donations through the exchange with specialists, outstanding donors of the territory and workers from different occupational groups due to the importance of blood and its various components for emergencies.
