SubsidesSan Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- Implementation of the country’s policy, contained in the guidelines, reveals that subsidies donation is a viable alternative designed to benefit those in need. In this town, until last year, 833 subsidies were settled.
Luis Enrique Martinez Vazquez, General Director of Infrastructure and Investment in Ariguanabo says that since the beginning they are receiving cases from the applicant families, because with subsidies the monetary limitations for repairing homes can be solved.
In all cases, subsidies are given to those with little economic solvency to face the effects of extreme weather events and to repair houses. He added that the family recieves it only once as the Official Gazette stipulates it.
The 833 cases are followed up for the control and supervision of its correct use in the purchase of materials and in constructive actions to achieve the completion of the works.
