My girlfriend celebrates her world day on February 13th, so this chronicle is for her. She illuminates my eyes and makes my heart beats when I am writing. She, the radio, allowed with her sublime charms that I could meet her immensity. I was just twelve when I met her and she captivated my desires and possibilities of loving forever.
My girlfriend is 45 years old. When I met her she was elegant, triumphant and flirtatious. It was my first time to a lady like the radio. At that time I was a teenager with dreams and aspirations. We have transcended 31 years together both with the same vigor, willing to stay in the hearts of the people for what we do. Near her I learned the secrets of a chronic, the rigor of a report, the dramaturgical weight of a testimony, the experience of an interview and the immediacy with which we make a news.
My girlfriend, the radio, knows the sacrifice in rainy and cold mornings, hurricanes and festivity for a title in baseball. We live together due to the awards in national contests or radio festivals and also sorrow due to the loss of valuable colleagues. Today my girlfriend is celebrating. It's her world day and I honor her. Thanks for what it represents in my life, it is little, there is no a word to sum so much love, sleeplessness and passion in the noble profession of journalism.
