You decided to be linked to the field, Which are the reasons?
My peasant roots are very strong and with the support of the Cuban Women Federation (CWF) and the National Small Farmers Association (ANAP), in addition to the actions with peasant women I joined this sector. I work in different crops such as beans, flowers cut and collection of productions. There are 143 partners, mainly men, only 30 females.
How do you share the Direction and be accepted as a woman?
I am part of the ANAP, I know the needs and concerns of its members. They respect me because I look after the interests of the cooperative and I represent them. They proposed me and I share all tasks responsibly.
The peasant organization is strengthened by female representation. What do you think about that?
The presence of Ariguanabense women is higher. Women love each task and know the importance of producing food for every family.
What is the attitude of the CSC members to face weather affectations?
The impact of climate is a reality in today's agriculture. However, peasents do not to give up. So, the strategy is to plant short cycle crops, and redouble efforts to plant and produce for the people.
