San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- For the second time the National Writers and Artists Union of Cuba (NWAUC) in Artemisa inquires into the art spaces of the International Film and Television School (IFTS) located in our town.
This time the collective exhibition “I am art among the arts” was inaugurated, which includes fourteen works by many artists affiliated to the (NWAUC) and Hermanos Saiz Association in the province. The theme and subject of the exhibition is José Martí, in honor of the 163th anniversary of his birth.
The works displayed in the mediateca André Bazin (IFTS) is part of a broader collection dedicated to the Apostle, which the NWAUC’s subsidiary owns. Among the pieces, varied in technique and aesthetics, are the speeches and projections of the ariguanabense young William Cruz and Raul Hecheverría’s photograph titled “Feeling” and The play “The man who dressed as a child,” by Juan Carlos Muñoz.
Over a contemporary rope there is a photo of William Cruz. In others there is a contrast, showing the image of Martí talking with his present in Cuba and it is represented from different points of view.
