January 25th: Food Industry Workers Day

Food, vital essence of our lives is represented in several productions each working day in the realization of the commitment, the will and dedication of those who face the constraints, such as production of cereals for import substitution, variety in the processing of cocoa, meat products or fresh pastries. The increasing industrialization of agricultural products and drinks, including sodas, malts and rums.

Since 1971, every January 25th, we commemorate the Food Industry Worker Day in Cuba. Over the years, we have faced limitations due to the lack of foreign raw materials, outdated technology, restrictions of the domestic market and the lack of financing, however the premise is always to ensure the quality and presence in the national network and abroad with the efficiency hallmark in every production process.
