Succeed in any sphere of life of human beings requires surrender, sacrifice and love for the work being performed. This is tha case of the ariguanabense Cowboy Yamir Pumarada Rodriguez. He was born on January 7th, 1983 under the sign of Capricornio, which makes him a strong young man, optimistic and persevering in the work they perform.
When asked him about his love for the world beef he says.
Since I was a child going to the farm of my grandfather and he taught me milking cows and bulls graze. Then I went down that road with my father, who worked on the cattle and grew my love for animals.
When do you officially start at rodeo?
In 2003 I went to a rodeo, I try and did well and continued the practice in the downing of bulls and wild cow milking, two of the specialties that I prefer and know. Since then I'm cowboy.
What does needed to succeed?
The first is like what you do, after being disciplined, willing to practice and maintain friendships with teammates.
And that requires downing?
Practice hard and work in the art. This is a very difficult mode in which abilities are mixed, strength and ride quality of the animal.

You are among the top fifteen cowboys in the country in the downing of cattle on hand. How about that?
I think that I have achieved with the daily training. Besides being a strong, dominating the art and not be afraid at the time of , it helps me a lot. In addition to achieving good times we must also improve the riding of the horse.

Always ranges between 3.5 and 3.7 seconds. I never got to ten, so I'm among the top fifteen of the country.
Idols at rodeo
Imagine. San Antonio de los Baños is an excellent place for cowboys and almost all of these people have come to Cuba team. With each of them learn something new, but "the peasant", Méndez, one who taught me the secrets of cows downing by hand and I owe him what I am.
Happy moments in this sport
I'm happy every time I go to rodeo. Life has inconsistencies and dissatisfaction but as Jose Marti said: "Men do not look for the times fall, but that rise".
Recalling the master, you offer an image of being a cowboy beaten by injustice. Is that so?
Indeed. This year I made the grade to represent the National Team at the Cattle Fair and never told me. I do not know why things happen, because at rodeo I do everything well.
How is the preparation for a good throw?
Since you ride a horse you should take in mind that you will run downing. It all happens in fractions of seconds, if you lose one of them, the demolition was not effective and can have negative consequences to the point of losing life. There are also doing a lot of strength in both arms and legs.
Future plans in the sport
Continue until the dream of integrating the Cuba team, something I could do this year, but I was refused.
