Contest in salute to the 159 anniversary of José Martí´s birth

San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba-The Provincial Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) has launched a contest in salute to the 159 anniversary of José Martí´s birth in order to delve into the life and work of the Master.

Sponsored by the ANAP of the territory in coordination with Education, Young Communist League and Provincial History Commission, as well as mass media organs. The call for the contest's objectives is to deepen the knowledge of José Martí life and work. Similarly, the jury consists of members of these sectors.

The work must be framed by two or three pages and is aimed at farmers, cooperatives, family, and within these to members of the interests circles of the Pioneer countryside, as well as schools that are in the range of agricultural entities.

The contest runs from the first day of this month until January 28th, 2012.

The theme of the contest are the internationalist character of José Martí´s thought, Marti´s link with childhood and youth, and the Apostle's thought directed to the ground, the man that works and makes it produce.

The work of the contestants will be sent to the Municipal ANAP in each area and these will be passed to the Provincial Directorate of the organization from February 1st to 15th, 2012. From February 16th to 25th will be assessed the submissions and the jury will award three winning places.
