The delegation base of the Cuba Journalists Union ( UPEC ) in Artemisa, constitute the Sports Writers Circle in the presence of the president of the organization, Yudaisys Moreno and media colleagues specialized in sports.
With a minute of silence in memory of Ramon Benito Pérez Montesino, tireless promoter of this idea and honorary member of the Circle, we proceeded to the reading of the statutes governing the Sports Writers Circle and then elected the members of its directive.
As president was elected Javier Izquierdo Leon, sports commentator at the Artemisa provincial radio station, the members will be Robert Rodriguez Gonzalez and Joel Mayor Loran, while the provincial sports history will rest in the hands of Lorenzo Gonzalez Mendez and Carlos Enrique Rodriguez Gonzalez.
The Sports Writers Circle will arrange seminars, workshops and courses for correspondents overcoming the territories, who have a very important role, as their information are vital in the database that can be obtained of each municipality.
The first activity of the members of the Sports Writers Circle of Artemisa, will provide its criteria for choosing the best athletes of the year in Cuba and then in the province. It also signed a working agreement with the Provincial Department of Sports for systematically involved in activities that are organized in Artemisa.
