Congratulate ariguanabense librarians in Provincial Scientific Meeting

San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - The ariguanabense researcher Maricela Corvo with the presentation "The public library for the preservation of local identity" and Yamilé Hernández Esteves and Betsy Diaz de la Torre, teachers from the Elementary School Le thi Rieng, with the work intitled "The computer class, a way to promote reading", were among the winners of the Ninth Scientific Meeting Nena Villegas, a library science event that pays tribute to the Artemiseña teacher.

Were also congratulates by the depth of the discussed topics the papers: "Proposal for an action plan for the rescue of rare books" by Yamila Baltazar from the Public Library in Artemisa and also "Designing a website for the youth and child department" by Yamila Baltazar and Delila Cao, "Today´s origen" by Damaris Camacho, researcher from the Public Library in Bauta and "Biblio-wing", an investigation by the guanajayense Katia Perez.

Some of twenty librarian are dedicated to social and cultural research in the territory, presented their works to a court meeting in the Mausoleum of Artemis Martyrs.

Aimed at solving problems detected in the various librarian subsystems, the Ninth Scientific Meeting Nena Villegas addressed issues such as: libraries and the university environment, memory, identity and tradition of the people, libraries and community; biographies, bibliographies and bio-bibliographies as well as digital and virtual libraries.
