Chemical and organoleptic correlation in Premium Cigars

José Mario Guardiola Gonzalez and Martin Cuervo Fernández, specialists of the entity, determined for the first time the details of the mixture that forms the raw material for making these cigars, in limited and special productions.

Experts said how tobacco compounds influence the quality of its aroma, flavor and medium strength, and these mixtures were chemical equations to predict the organoleptic effectivenessof the Cuban cigar, with the Premium seal sold in the border market .

The study results of the Tobacco Research Institute, based at Ariguanabo and subordinate units in various provinces, provide scientific and technical basis for the development of cigar production chain, to face the problems and demands of the tobacco industry.
