San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - On September 17th, 1977 was held the first ariguanabense Culture week and became an important event in the people´s cultural life.
From September 16th to 23rd, in the territory, is the ariguanabense Culture Week, edition XXXVI, with local character is annually held with the aim of highlighting the most significant task of socio-cultural and historical of the territory.
The program of activities devised by the Municipal reaffirms the popular culture is broad and involves all sectors of the socio-cultural and economic life and in every neighborhood, community, councils, urban and rural areas, and has mind the recognition that collaborate daily with no other interest sector that our Villa continues to be flagship in cultural promotion.
From the beginning, in the political-cultural event planned on the morning of September 16th at Jose Marti´s Park, near the monument to the national hero, were interpreted the glorious notes of patriotism of Bayamo Anthem, was laid flowers and opening remarks targeting villagers ratified the ariguanabenses pride as cultivators of culture with authenticity, sense of belonging and attachment to the traditions.
The Retreat of the municipal band, the presence of humor as identifying feature, the Country Rock in the presence of improvised verse, repentism, controversy, forced foot and the role of country music will be the bridge to remind growers gender through new voices.
The dance of Guayabera and Rare shirt, Traditional Festival Nora LLoró with provincial competitive nature and reveal the development of various art forms in which it excels the Art Workshop with Hilo, plastic collective national category and brings together experienced and novice who will demonstrate the power of creation and help perpetuate these traditions in youth.
Among the theoretical events the Culture Colloquium, talks about the foundation and local history and "Speaking of letters, paintings and Ariguanabo figures" allow sharing with students, workers, adults and seniors the memory tour through historical personalities, historical and cultural events from the founding of the town that is enriched in every celebration.
For recognition takes into account various spaces, Encounter with art, alongside fine artists as Jorge Lucas Pereda and Dania Fleites, a tribute to the dedication and daily consecration of Nelsa Barzaga, educator and cultural promoter and also dedicated to René de la Nuez for his 75th birthday with the opening of the Expo Tribute, the group show "Premios Locos" and III National Youth Humor Hall "El Loquito", contest for young people between 15 and 30, who since 2008 convened not only for the purpose of stimulating the creation, but also to pay tribute to René de la Nuez and his firstborn character. For this third edition received more than 70 works of 21 authors from nine provinces which confirms health humor.
The Landscapes Meeting of Francisco Martinez Villamil, brings together artists from the visual arts of José Martí Brigade conserving urbanism inspired in local artists who work with our local fans, not to leave overlook the tradition of our great artists of painting. It performs the natural one in the day on September 22nd by the 41st Avenue and the awards will be at the Culture House.
Night of Theater is among the activities of the closure with the presentation of the creation Group "Raja Tablas" and artistic unity "Imagen" with the provincial category, which will stage, rootedness genres in the territory, with shows inspired by black poetry of Nicolas Guillen and vernacular theater on the stage of the Theatre Hall of the Culture House.
