Celebrating National Culture Day at the Humor Villa

San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - The Culture Department in the territory has a program for this celebration, referring to October 20th, National Culture Day.

 To promote books and literature will deepen the work of naotional authors of great importance in Cuban culture and personalities from Ariguanabo, student and labor centers, literary advisors, librarians and specialists, encourage the act of reading through annotated reading texts and discussion of issues related to our identity and reflections on the significance of October 20th in Cuban history and culture.

Among the proposals appears the Landscapes Hall Meeting, opened on Thursday at the Culture House. Twelve works made the sample predominantly oil on canvas, ink, watercolor on cardboard recreate the artists for the conservation of architectural and natural environment of the Villa, outstanding landmarks like the Church, the Ariguanabo river and its margins and parks, all witnesses revealing of our culture and recreated by local artists as Quidiello, Panchito Villamil, Soberon and now the tradition continues for art instructors in the territory. The lounge is open until November.

Meanwhile the Culture House develop the Children Music Competition "Ariguanabo Singing" on 19th and 20th. Two days of competition for composers and performers who presented at the National Cultural Gala for the winners as an expression of cultural development in the Village and the promotion of musical creation.

The artisans artists also share in the festivities. In the Provincial Center of Visual Arts is open the ACCA Provincial Hall, the Third Hall of Art, Craft and Utility in the Cuban Cultural Fund and the popular Craft Fair on Saturday October 19th at José Martí Park in downtown, the public can admire the work carried out in various media with the prominence of weaving, doll making, thread gluing, wood carving among others and also can buy these works.

The usual Peña Campesina to be held on Sunday October 20th, with free admission at two in the afternoon, The Uncle Cabrera Tavern, the ariguanabense family lover of country music can enjoy the performances of the poets, repentistas and decimistas as well as guests of the municipalities Güira de Melena, Quivicán and Alquízar and also the improvised verse professionals Renito Fuentes, Angel Garcia and Sergio Almaral and the performance of Maridalia, grower of traditional Cuban music adds to the attractions.
