In this 2012 the Military Schools "Camilo Cienfuegos" held founded 46 years since September 23rd, 1966 was created the first in the old school "Loyola Military Academy" at the entrance of Punta Brava.
Today, these schools met the directions of Raul Castro Ruz: to create a staff to enter the teaching units of the upper level of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, and training as officers.
In our town many young people complete secondary education to choose this school and become Camilitos. Even girls are decided by military discipline, cohesion and behaviors offered by these schools. It is true that many people believe that the rigor is extreme, that perhaps their children are not trained to conduct demanding, but the Schools "Camilo Cienfuegos" also impart a pitch of human knowledge, hygiene, safety and of course, academic rigor applied in all schools in the country.
In my opinion, worth mentioning to those adolescents who year after year made a step forward, ready to be on the front line of combat if Cuba would be attacked.
This is a comprehensive education, with respect to the uniform and bracelets, to culture and sport competitions are held between battalions of infantry and guarantees students a healthy life.
I think that despite the years, despite the different times, the reality of today Camilitos´s schools continues the course of its history. There is treasured as a jewel the military attitude. Perhaps some of those who enroll, see this as another option of pre-university center. But undoubtedly, most will defend their country from any trench and someday proudly affirm: "I was also Camilito".
