Zunaidi Valdés Busqué, is a sixth-year student of a medical career, for three years, has served as teaching and research and her name appears on each such project.
How did you link in teaching and research?
Since I take this job in FEU, we made different projects, also participated in the Municipal Scientific Meeting where we got great achievements, in the provincial level were represented three works awarded with relevant category, including mine.
Since the first year participated in the Scientific Conference where I won during three years in with relevant work at the provincial level and I was honored to participate in the National Forum of Medical Sciences, two consecutive years in two modalities: face and virtual, is very pleased to share with students from other provinces and see the good results of the investigations.
Now I am part of this world, where study and investigate all the time, I want to learn everything I can.
Do you like to research?
I love it because it is a way to expand my knowledge and give my contribution to the development of research in the field of health.
How can you divide time between study, friends and family?
Actually I have a wonderful family that supports me in all my student performance, I love what I study, I love to share, be in the hospital, research is part that, as long as you love what you do and you have people who support you, everything will come out and will flow fine. I visit my friends, walk, go to parties, I'm around.
Do you always wanted to study medicine?
Since childhood I wanted to study medicine, because ... to see my father that is a veterinarian, maybe started out there, I also had an uncle-now deceased- was very good surgeon. I've always liked helping people and I think this is a wonderful way to do it and I love what I studied, what I study and what I need to study further.
Do you consider a key student in college, given the level of responsibility you have?
Well ... we all feel that we are unique, important, really I have done many things in favor of the faculty, I have awards and active participation in the FEU activities, but there are many very good students. Also some other people have been important in my studies.
Any story that have marked you to your future career?
Well, when I was rotating through pediatrics, I saw a girl get with seizures and is really sad to see that, as her parents were desperate, the Dr. apply the appropriate techniques and the girl went slowly getting better, the parents were pleased and with great satisfaction, that made me feel great and a professional. Being a doctor to save and safeguard the lives of everyone who needs it.
There is no greater gratitude to see that person you attended, good health, walking by the streets and smiling gratefully.
Specialty in the Future?
There still some specialties to go through, I like them all, but pediatrics likes me a lot.
I leave this future doctor with books, papers and projects, I love the way she face her carrear and also the way she talks.
Her baby face tells me that her favorite color is pink, her lucky number is five, her best day is Saturday and what she likes the most: give love and affection.
