I have a great privilege, I confess. Yesterday life worth me to witness the delivery of Felix Elmuza order to you, awarded by the Union of Cuba Journalists on behalf of the State Council, the attribution that is conferred as an organization that rules the destinies of Cuban journalism.
How proud I felt at that moment!. Can not imagine how many ideas and thoughts flowed into my mind. As stamped on his chest the effigy to the prominent journalist, remembered my grandmother Andrea, her mother, that he always lived proud of his awards and results in the practice of journalism, when I was a youngster, he dreamed of writing in the national media and left his best times, including books, class notes and the coming and going in the 185 bus to the capital.
The teacher Ramon Benito Pérez Montesino, is simple, quiet, talkative, quick as articulated words and very dedicated to his love, journalism. No gray hairs, no, his hair is short and always wants more and more in search of perfection, because he steals minutes a dream for the best account, the perfect story or the exquisite interview. Life, which has been hard with this Quijote of an ariguanabense journalism. He knows, so he has the strength to go and every triumph, his eyes bright and no hangs his head, shown upright trying to understand the horizon that invites to new conquests in the Cuban revolutionary journalism.
Benito Pérez, knows about Schools guards and college teams, the teenagers loves in the hallways of the school, also has excellent declamations in Spanish Literature classes or their own memories along the Ariguanabo River. Also active in his walk through life, have memories of the great performances of Silvio Rodríguez troubadour on his way through San Antonio de los Baños and the sad pain when he lost his son Ramoncito. That, the Benedict of marathon races and lectures at the university as a Masters in Sports Science, is a worthy protagonist of his time and no better person to carry in his heart the prestigious order.
Everything, joys and sorrows, triumphs and defeats, have made the teacher, a strongman professional and capable. Friend, father, dreamer, maker of realities facing many chimeras, baseball-loving and faithful ally of the sports stats make this teacher a role model for those who exercise the sacred profession of journalism.
Today I am happy that you have been ordered Félix Elmuza and remember that always be my talisman, my guide, my staff in the vicissitudes of life, as well as teacher and journalist I have the joy that you're my uncle and that I have enough. So nothing else to say, because to me, to me the words run out of his greatness as a humble man
