Balance after 15 years

The first fifteen games of the fifty-third National Baseball Series finished and most significantly in the first third, proved to be the match of zero hit, zero runs inflicted by Freddy Asiel Alvarez, pitcher of Villa Clara, and the arrival to 150 save games, the right hand from Guanajay belonging to the Hunters of Artemisa, José Ángel García, maximum accumulator in saves of the Cuban baseball.

Guantánamo is the most hit with average of (286), escorted by Villa Clara (278) and Ciego de Avila (267). The Indians Guaso also lead the slugging with (386) followed by Mayabeque and Granma with (369), while Ciego de Avila, Matanzas and Villa Clara have a logarithm of (364).

The Alazanes from Granma are the most connects with 12 homers and escort by Mayabeque and Camagüey with 10 in second place, while Sancti Spiritus, Ciego de Ávila and Guantánamo have thrown the ball on 9 occasions.

If we stop at Artemisa team, we notice that the change is 180 degrees in performance and overall improvement with respect to the previous two seasons. The so called Hunters have more wins than losses and appear tied with six other teams for fourth place in the standings, showing a balance of 8 hits and 7 defeats.

The pitching of Danny Valdespino Roche´s students, is best set so far, because the victories spread their best pitchers, Miguel Lahera, Yulieski González and Geonel Gutiérrez two and Jonder Martínez with José Luis Padrón with one per capita.

The offense is not the best in the championship, but has a particularity, there is always a positive player in the set in each game, which is never the same, demonstrating teamwork and result in training and caps preparation, along with drinks before the National Series.

Up to date the ariguanabense Dayan García Ortega is the only player in the series that has hit two homers in a challenge, when it did before the party Cienfuegos that won (9x1) and where the "magic" of Ariguanabo batted (4 -3) with four trailers.

It is valid to highlight the work of the rookies in the set of the Hunters, led by Diosvel Arias, a young man of only 17 years that looks immense at shortstop with his good plays on defense and at the plate responds to good time. Dayron Perez also does well in the leadoff Ruben Hernandez and pitchers, Raimel Pérez and Deivis Martínez, show their potential from the box despite being rookies.

The team batting for 226 average with 103  hits in 456 times at bat. Connect 18 doubles, 3 triples, and 5 home runs. They have a 311 slugging percentage, 36 RBIs, six stolen bases and 4 caught stealing with 65 strikeouts and 7 bases.

Hopefully the second third of the series also is favorable and reach the great joy for fans with the desired qualification to the play off, something that is impossible for the vast majority, but for the few, among whom I include myself, can be
real.
