Awarded the contests to José Martí´s honor

San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba. To evoke Jose Martí, deepen the life and work of those who wrote for Cuba and America´s children is a permanent reference in the formation of new generations that´s why the Cultural House Raimundo Valenzuela called for involving students at the municipal level in competitions "Where a palm grows", and "Sun and Fantasy" in Literature and Art demonstrations.

All centers were represented in the competition "Sun and Fantasy", the group of instructors specializing in literature, selected the finalists taking into account the adjustment to the theme, the creative, the depth of the message conveyed and correspondence with gender literature.

The awards jury noted in the presence of variety of genres and the quality of the ideas from the update message of Marti's work present in the works of students. 22 students were winners, 10 from primary and 12 from secondary schools.

Annually is convened the competition "Where a palm grows", on national basis in art manifestation, the participation of the centers was higher compared to other editions. From 1 240 participants representative works of the various teachings, 52 works were finalists worked with great diversity in the use of technique, variety in the use of color and the media used that transitioned from paper mache, monotype, painting, specialty crafts crochet fabric, sculpture. Formal representation achieved in every artistic product was different, innovative and creative from the subject matter, life and work of José Martí, landscape and other elements of Cuban identity.

The Collective Arts instructors acknowledged the involvement of students and emphasized the  quality of the finalist works as an expression of the thought life Master.

The Culture House maintained throughout the month of February the guided tour for the students  the exhibition of the winners in the competition "Where a palm grows", as the prize attraction is due to the work  popularity or the set of works by students in addition to exchanges with the awarded children.
