San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - The municipal act of the awards contest "My country free of Tuberculosis" will be held on March 21st at the Elementary School Le Thi Rieng.
In the territory continue the activities on the subject of TB World Day to be held next March 24th. The Municipal Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology in coordination with the Department of Education called for students of different education levels to participate in the contest with the aim of promoting a responsible attitude in favor of a better life quality.
The jury composed of specialists from health, education and culture selected the best work in view of creativity and originality in the treatment of the topic: tuberculosis, preventive measures based on the enjoyment of a healthy life. Participants expressed through literary genres: poetry, short stories, paper and plastic arts.
A total of 18 students and 7 teachers were winners, who will receive diplomas and awards for participation for the promotion of healthy behaviors with the premise that "TB is preventable and curable". Keep alert to the people is the task of developers and specialists from the Municipal Department of Health and Education because the disease still remains a major challenge to humanity.
