San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - The Board of Education awarded the annual contest territory History of the town, in the Municipal Museum "José Rafael Lauzán"
Students from different education responded to the call and delved into issues related to the patriotic traditions, the foundation of the town and the socio-cultural context, the Marti Forest, foundation and integration into the business of the territory, the province and the country, the colony and the particularities of the origins of the settlement and the actions of the Bay of Pigs, the response of San Antonio de los Baños in these events that marked the history of the country and linking the colonial history in the curricula of secondary education.
A total of 13 works were awarded in the various lessons, students demonstrated proficiency in the content covered and creative level in the treatment of the issues.
Delivered to the winners in recognition of library materials and historical documents for consultation.
Mercedes Calero, advisor to the political and ideological work in the territory highlighted the importance of knowledge of local history in training and education in values as collateral to preserve the identity and culture of peoples.
