XXI National Congress of History: Lessons of patriotism

Under the slogan Nationalism, anti-imperialism, socialism and revolution in Cuba, woks the XXI National Congress of History in Camagüey.

These meetings of historians born in 1942, in order to address issues related to research, teaching and dissemination of the art. The 2014 edition is among the half millennium celebrations for the founding of the first towns in the country and 55 years of the Revolution, is the most important event of the Cuban historians and loftiest scientific activity of the organization.

Among the themes of the meeting, participants discussed and deepened research on 64 different topics: the foundation by the Spanish colonizers of the first villages, heritage care, anti-imperialism and socialism, racism and racial identity, and the revolution in power, also on ethics and politics in José Martí, Apostle of the Cuba Independence, decency and the common good by the way, as expressed in his actions, his writings and speeches hence the essence of Marti 's work, the Revolution.

Congress developed in tune with the times in the country, which implements transformations from the Economic and Social Guidelines of the Party and the Revolution. The story on the current issues, including the virtual stage with the media war, becomes one of the main battlefield of ideological and cultural war.
