San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba-The Provincial Directorate of Culture in Artemisa, the Department of Art and the Provincial Center of Visual Arts Eduardo Abela, convene the Eleventh Biennial of Photography.
The bases match to photographers residing or working in the municipalities of Artemisa, Mayabeque, Pinar del Rio, Havana, Matanzas and the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud.
The theme is free and each participant may submit up to four works with forms of individual photos, series or sets, photo essays and facilities, the latter can measure up to two meters square and must come mounted.
The series or photographic sets will be up to 8 pieces; the size of the photographs should not exceed 60x80, which exceed this dimension must be delivered properly mounted.
Works must not have been awarded in other events and shall bear the number order conceived in the case of series or sets, personal data, names, identity card, address, telephone and technical realization of the work.
The deadline expires on June 9th, 2014. The jury will be composed by specialists from the photo library of Cuba and decide three awards and citations, as needed.
All prize-winning works remain a period of time in the Provincial Art Centre, an institution that used it with non-profit status, making them roam and then returned to the artists culminated roaming.
30 days after the closing the event the non-winning works, which are not collected will become part of the heritage of the institution.
