Dance and tribute night

480x360-images-20191029 211739 Alicia dances like the wind; It would be said that she represents the wind; But the wind moves and nothing explains, And Alicia explains with the movement (...) Now, she goes up and does not go down by her footprints: Her feet have wonderful wings And her hands reach the stars.

Thus, the poet Jesús Orta Ruiz the ''Indio Naborí’’ immortalized Prima Ballerina Assoluta Alicia Alonso, who died on October 17.

Students from the Eduardo Abela Professional School of Art, in San Antonio de los Baños, paid tribute to Alicia Alonso dancing with the grace and style they have learned from their teachers.

The institution recognized professor Syria Felipe Agüero Ávila for her contribution, dedication and commitment to artistic education.

Students, teachers, parents and workers of the center attended the gala, who also enjoyed the projection of videos related to the Queen of the Ballet in Cuba.
