On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the National Revolutionary Militias (MNR), the Territorial Defense Day took place at the Base Enterprise Unit (UEB) Mezclas Secas Chocolé, belonging to Defense Zone 3, located in San Antonio de los Baños .
One of the main objectives of this meeting was the recognition to several members of the National Revolutionary Militias, who have stood out in the fulfillment of the missions.
José Miguel Delgado, local historian, expressed what the founders of the National Revolutionary Militias represent: "Today there are numerous founders of the National Revolutionary Militias, representing a generation that successfully fulfilled its duty and continues to unconditionally defend the Cuban Revolution, a Revolution led by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz"
The event was attended by members of the Municipal Defense Council, presided over by Juan Alberto Rodríguez Linares; Major Yoandis Rosa Enamorado, head of Communications of the Military Region; Yadelkis Hernández Morales, vice president of the Municipal Defense Council, as well as representatives of political and mass organizations, the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution, the Municipal Assembly, the Administration Council and the Defense Council of Zone 3.
