The Iván Portuondo General Teaching Hospital, in San Antonio de los Baños, offers the health services of the institution that celebrates the 71st anniversary of its foundation.
According to Dr. Odalis Valdés, director of the Hospital, despite the construction repairs in different areas, Microbiology, Clinical Laboratory, Radiology, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, and other services are offered.
Secondary health care is also offered in the municipalities of Alquízar, Güira de Melena, Bejucal, Quivicán, Bauta and Caimito.
In the teaching area, future doctors are trained in different specialties and residences.
The Iván Portuondo General Teaching Hospital currently assumes a large investment which has not been completed and is expected to be readjusted in next year's budget.
