''Homeland is a community of interests, unity of traditions, unity of ends, sweet fusion and comforting of love and hope."
With the meaning of the concept ''Homeland'', by the Apostle José Martí, the celebration of the Cuban Culture Day in Ariguanabo began, with the participation of artists from San Antonio de los Baños.
The ariguanabenses are Cuban, they are identified from our roots which we inherited from Africa, with a Spanish and Chinese touch. We are dance, charisma and music.
Pioneers from Julio Pérez Elementary School performed the poetry "La bailarina española" written by José Martí, and young artists from the Eduardo Abela Professional School of Art delighted the participants with songs by Silvio Rodríguez, Celina González and Pablo Milanés.
The development of Cuban culture was a significant element in San Antonio de los Baños. An important event was the first graduation of art instructors in 1961, when 18 young people graduated in the specialties of Theater, Dance and Music. The significance of this stage was transcendental for its multiplier action to date, after half a century.
The second group of artists graduated on October 20, 2004. They marked the artistic-cultural life of our country, an army made up of young people committed to the Cuban Revolution and who proudly bear the name of José Martí Brigade.
The Municipal Directorate of Culture on the occasion of the date recognized the work of art instructors, who, from different educational centers, promote the best of Cuban culture.
