The municipal Education Directorate highlights the work of health promoters in the educational centers in San Antonio de los Baños.
According to Miralis Mirabal, School Health advisor in the territory, ''there is a health promoter in all Ariguanabo schools. The promotion of handwashing is one of the actions undertaken in Ariguanabo. This issue is promoted this month on the occasion of World Handwashing Day, to be held on October 15''.
An action, as simple as washing your hands, can be key to the survival of millions of people, especially children, the population sector most vulnerable to diarrheas and respiratory infections. These diseases can be easily prevented just with soap and water,'' added Miralis Mirabal
This day, people are called to raise awareness about the importance of hand washing as many lives can be saved with soap and water.
