Today, October 8, the Ariguanabo's radialists are celebrating the 48th anniversary. A significant event for the workers of Radio Ariguanabo, who are committed to informing the people of San Antonio de los Baños.
This anniversary is also a reason to reflect. A few days ago some of the founders recalled past times, and then analyzed the present, where the presence of Ariguanabo's youth in the media has been strengthened. Many people agree that the youngest are working very well, different. Others remain skeptical, waiting.
What do young people think? It is true we are full of dreams and ideas, maybe too bold, and even a little crazy, because we like to take risks with impossible projects and difficult issues. However, no one can question our commitment to the honorable mission of informing the people. No matter how daring or crazy we are, at the right time, we will be there.
Why are they so sure? It is difficult to explain, when choosing a related career, or simply, by accidentally entering this world of microphones, cameras, sounds and voices, there is an enveloping magic that gives strength to not give up, but that generally also produces satisfaction.
For that reason, the young people of Radio Ariguanabo take an old refrain, of the ariguanabense Silvio Rodríguez, as a motto: “I invite you to believe me, when I say future”.
