V National Exhibition of Plastic Arts José Luis Posada

300x473-images-IMG 20190918 171257 On the occasion of the Villa's 225th Anniversary, the 43rd Ariguanabense Culture Week is celebrated from September 16 to 22, in San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa.

As part of the activities to be carried out during the day, the Museum of Humor hosted the V National Exhibition of Plastic Arts José Luis Posada. The Posada family awarded the Prizes to: Reinaldo Hernández Valera (Graphic Humor), Randy Blanco Hernández (Painting), Roberto Conde Herrera (Drawing) and Oribel Rodríguez Martín (Engraving).

A total of 75 works by 39 creators, from the provinces of Artemisa, Havana, Mayabeque, Villa Clara, Las Tunas and Holguín, were received in this edition. 37 cartoons, dating from 1975, are displayed in the Museum of Humor, on the occasion of José Luis Posada's 90th birthday.

The space was conducive to honor the first decade of the book "La casa en un morral", by Raúl Hernández Ortega, Memory Prize awarded by the Pablo de la Torriente Brau Cultural Center.

The Museum of Humor, together with the Pablo de la Torriente Brau Cultural Center, awarded the collateral awards of the V Salon.

Lucrecia Bárbara González Viera, Municipal Director of Culture, family and friends of José Luis Posada, as well as a representation of the Asturian Association of Cuba, attended the inauguration of the V National Exhibition of Plastic Arts José Luis Posada.
