The Tobacco Research Institute, located in San Antonio de los Baños, received the National Recognition award for the results achieved in the 2018 Socialist Emulation.
The productive, economic and scientific research achievements determined the granting of the National Recognition by the National Union of Forestry and Tobacco Farmers.
Yarelis Centeno, Deputy Director at the Institute, said: ''In 2018 the center achieved comprehensive results in scientific-technological production, complying with the Socialist Emulation indicators.''
"We reaffirm our commitment for 2019 by redoubling the efforts, in order to increase efficiency and scientific production", the director added.
